Course of the disease
Brain tumor = tumor + brain injury.
What is the course of the disease, what is the impact on quality of life and what is life expectancy?
The course of the disease and life expectancy depend on the type of tumor, its grade and its location in the brain.
Because this can vary greatly from person to person, it's difficult to describe a general course of the disease. Treatment (surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and other innovative therapies) will also determine the course of the disease.
Because every brain is unique, a doctor cannot predict the course of the disease with 100% certainty. Medicine is not an exact science, and while much is known about the brain, there are still significant blind spots.
